As a follow up to the Megan Leslie article, here's the website for "letcanadiansvote".

Included is the petition to restore voting right for Canadian Expats. This impacts Canadians who have lived outside Canada for 5 years.

Signed petitions can be mailed to:

Office of Megan Leslie, MP Halifax
519 Confederation Building, House of Commons Ottawa, ON K1A 0A6

Next steps:

1. We need to get 25 signatures minimum by Canadian citizens in order for the petition to be accepted by Parliament. However, the more signatures we get, the more convincing our petition will be. If we get a lot of signatures, we can also generate media buzz, which can help our cause.

2. Please note that the petition must be on pieces of paper: 21.5 cm x
28 cm (8.5 x 11 inches) or 21.5 cm x 35.5 cm (8.5 x 14 inches) sheets; the text of a petition may not be altered by erasing words, crossing out words, or adding words or commentary

What happens next:

1. The government must reply to a petition within 45 calendar days 2. Megan Leslie will introduce a private member's bill in the Fall once Parliament reconvenes from summer break.
