CBC Canada Votes

Canada Votes Compass

Standings in the House of Commons

Canadian citizens living outside Canada can still vote, provided they meet a few criteria (Generally, you have lived in Canada within the last 5 years, or are an employee of the Canadian Forces, the Canadian Embassy, or other governmental agencies.  You also have to 'intend to return to live in Canada' - but there is no time frame or consequence to this, so you can vote even if you don't plan on moving back to Canada any time soon - or ever really).

To see if you qualify and to generate the form needed to apply for a special ballot, go to Elections Canada.

It takes a while for the special ballot application to be processed and the ballot to get to you, so I would suggest that you send it in ASAP.  Remember your completed ballot has to arrive in Ottawa before election day, as well, so make sure you mail it in good time.
