On Friday March 11, 2011 at the Omni Parker House Hotel in Boston, Canada's east coast provinces in collaboration with the New England-Canada business council held a reception that showcased opportunities in Atlantic Canada for skilled expatriate Canadians and perspective foreign nationals.

In attendance at the two hour networking event were Atlantic Canadian employers, representatives from the provinces, and Canadians residing in the Boston area, which included over 35 from the Canadian Expat Meetup group headed by Andrew Scholte.

As attendees mingled, representatives from the provinces gave a brief introduction to the reception and weekend events, followed by some comments by Consular General Patrick Binns.

The night concluded with a ten minute promotional video, which gave a heart felt reminder to all Canadians who are familiar or once resided there, and a brief introduction to those not familiar with the region's charm. Interviews and testimonials from foreign nationals and repatriated Canadians were particularly emphasized.
