WATERLOO -- The Laurier School of

Business & Economics is proud to announce another Canadian first: a Master

of Science in Management in the Technology Management field, which is being

offered as an executive program designed to create senior leaders for a

fast-moving global economy.

Knowing how important careers are,

we have designed this one-year part-time program to accommodate busy work

schedules with no gap in income. The Executive Masters in Technology Management

(EMTM) commits to develop leaders who will effectively manage advances in

science and technology in the context of the dynamic and strategic business

skills critical to innovation and competition.

"For technology-driven businesses,

intense competition and global markets demand that the most recent innovations

move quickly to worldwide use," said Dr. Hamid Noori, chair in Enterprise

Integration and Technology Management, and director of PhD and Research-based

Masters Programs at the Laurier School of Business & Economics. "The Laurier

EMTM program will specifically address the overlapping disciplines of business

and technology and prepare leaders to manage both technology and the process of

innovation in a high-speed, high-cost, high-risk global environment."

This unique one-year weekend

program combines state-of-the-art management practices and insights into

emerging technologies that are driving global innovation and change. Beginning

in January 2011, a select group of students will be coached by an elite group of

professors and professionals sourced from the best institutions around the

world, including Wilfrid Laurier University, culminating in a Master of Science

degree in Management.
