Run, jump, throw! Athletics is sport at its most basic. It's all about achieving the fastest, highest and furthest results. The World Junior Championships take place every two years as part of the International Association of Athletics Federation's (IAAF) World Athletics Series.

For seven days in July 2010, more than 1400 athletes representing 170 member federations will gather in Moncton to compete in 44 medal events. These are some of the best athletes in the world. Check out what records are waiting to be broken and see the results from the most recent World Junior Championships in Bydgoszcz, Poland.

Spectators at the IAAF World Junior Championships will be able to see some of the world's very best junior athletes in action. Many of these athletes will compete again at the London 2012 Olympic Games.

Over the course of the week from July 19th-25th, 50,000 spectators are expected to fill the seats at the new Stade Moncton 2010 Stadium on the Université de Moncton campus. Millions more from coast to coast and around the world will watch the event on TV and through the CBC's live webcast.
